FASTEN YOUR CYBER-BELT
MEET the creative CREw
Ashley Villamaria
I am many things to many people. I am a foodie, a rugby league connoisseur, a musical theatre nerd or possibly your next creative director!
Proudly admitting to being a ‘coffeeholic’ you will see me with a coffee and visual diary in my hand, not to mention also being able to hear my boisterous voice brainstorming creative ideas from a mile away.
As a visual and experimental learner, I enjoyed bringing my passionate personality to this brief, both in a strategic and creative way. I applied my skills and knowledge that I've developed in Advertising for this project such as the importance of understanding your target audience and how they would engage in the end product as well as my Adobe Softwares editing skills. I thoroughly enjoyed the strategic process, and in return was involved in coming up with user testings, key insights, and brainstorming processes. With my eye for art direction, I was also involved in creating mockups for our campaign.
I admired how our group faced challenges such as having to maintain within the Brand Guidelines as well as how effectively we communicated and worked as a team.

Working on this project has made me realise that pitching out crazy ideas is better than pitching mediocre ones. Evidently these are the people whom I want to work within the Advertising industry. Creatives who aren't afraid to use their imagination, to pitch unheard of ideas, or to be judged upon. Because at the end of the day, these are the people who will create advertisements and campaigns which will be remembered for years to come!
Linh Nguyen
Being in love with advertising ever since I was young, I joined RMIT University in 2018 and became a Prof Comm-er, specializing in Advertising. Intrigued with being an advertising account executive - a main liaison between agencies and clients - I fulfilled myself with skills, knowledge and an ability to face the worst situations with a calm head. Since I constantly dealt with tight deadlines throughout this assignment, my ability to cope with pressure has helped in organizing the work properly and efficiently.
Additionally, from working with real clients through a volunteer in 2018, I further improved my communication, problem-solving skills as well as other digital skills like Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc. This has been demonstrated in this assignment when I worked side by side with group mates to produce app mockups or video frames. In the near future, I am looking forward to working for innovative, youthful and energetic people just like my group members, then transferring this fascinating experience to help developing my career in Vietnam.

I am an intuitive, resourceful, creative and enthusiastic person, who is currently in the Public Relations stream in the Professional Communications course. I am extremely empathetic, with a keen understanding of how those around her feel. These are the traits and understandings that I brought to this group project. Helping to keep the team organised by regularly contacting and corresponding on the Facebook group chat and by delegating tasks. Moreover, Claire learns best visually and kinaesthetically, which perfectly demonstrates her ability to step back, observe and participate. Working on the campaign has given me further insights into what it is like to work in internal communications, an area in which I wishs to step into after graduating.
Katie Grant
Katie is the name and communications is the game. I am currently in my second year of study of Professional Communications at RMIT, which has been a delightful experience thus far. Over the duration of the course, I have taken some time off to travel, which has refreshed my keenness to study and look for employment avenues aligned to my career aspirations. Currently, I am specialising in public relations, and naturally, this is the career path I intend to follow. I am eager to look for a career that fuses my passion for travel with my interest in PR.
My PR skills that have developed since beginning this course have been utilised throughout the project. During the initial stages I was part of building the background information that has founded our key insights and evolution of artefacts. By formatting questions to be asked of staff regarding their current cybersecurity engagement when travelling overseas and thoughts on an app to visualise key information on safe cyber behaviour, allowed for key insights to be developed. Additionally, when creating our artefacts I was part of designing the modules for our feature on canvas.
I believe our team worked to support each other across the 10 weeks and have enjoyed getting to know each others skills and specialities. We have worked hard to create a strong communication campaign for our client, cybersecurity department of RMIT, which will bolster staff engagement with cybersecurity when travelling internationally.

I am currently in my second year of studying Professional Communication with the stream of Advertising at RMIT University. I have lived, learned and worked in different multicultural environments and soon realized how important the variety is outside there. That’s why I look at the world with many points of view. You will see my best version appear when doing things that interest me. I love seeing people around me smile and live a happy life.
At the beginning of this project, I used my experience in previous projects and works to help the team generate ideas and organize the work. Throughout this assignment, my software skills in editing have been used to develop and visualize the team’s ideas. I'm a creative who learns by doing things so projects like this did help me a lot in collecting experience and being a better version in the future. Also, this project not only gave me knowledge, experience but also brought wonderful people - my teammates!
